Andrew Garfield, Florence Pugh set for Dublin Film Festival tribute
Irish actor Andrew Garfield and English actress Florence Pugh have been announced as the recipients of the Volta Award at the 2023 Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF).
The award is given to actors who have made a significant contribution to the film industry, and will be presented to Garfield and Pugh at a ceremony on February 25.
Garfield is best known for his roles in The Amazing Spider-Man, The Social Network, and Hacksaw Ridge. He has been nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
Pugh is best known for her roles in Midsommar, Little Women, and Black Widow. She has been nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
The Volta Award is named after the Volta Cinema, Dublin's oldest surviving cinema. Previous recipients of the award include Saoirse Ronan, Colin Farrell, and Daniel Day-Lewis.
The Dublin International Film Festival will take place from February 23 to March 5, 2023.
