Ex-Bolton Wanderers striker set to join the ranks at Wrexham
Shaun Miller's impressive record and experience a boost for Phil Parkinson at the Racecourse
Phil Parkinson’s rebuild at Wrexham has reportedly taken another step forward following the announcement of a new signing for the Dragons.
The club has offered a contract to free agent Shaun Miller. Should the forward accept, he will boost the firepower in the Wrexham squad ahead of the new season.
Miller was one of the most prolific strikers in non-league football while playing for Altrincham in the National League. Since then, he has continued to impress in League Two for Bolton Wanderers, scoring 13 goals in 37 appearances.
Parkinson expects goals from Miller
Parkinson is keen to add more goals to his squad, having seen his side struggle in front of goal last season.
Wrexham finished 14th in the National League last season, scoring just 54 goals in 46 games.
Miller’s arrival will give the Dragons a much-needed boost up front. The forward is a clinical finisher, with an eye for goal. He is also good at creating chances for his teammates.
Miller excited about Wrexham move
Miller is reportedly excited about the prospect of joining Wrexham.
The striker has described the club as a “sleeping giant” and is keen to help the Dragons return to the Football League.
If Miller does sign for Wrexham, he will become the club’s second signing of the summer. The Dragons have already brought in defender Anthony Forde from Cambridge United.
