Motorcyclist, pickup truck collide near the town line

GRAY — A crash on Egypt Road Friday evening involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle closed the road and sent the motorcyclist to an area hospital, according to police radio traffic.

Driver of motorcycle airlifted to hospital

The crash was reported around 6 p.m. near the town line with Raymond. The motorcyclist, whose name and condition were not immediately available, was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to police scanner reports.

There was no immediate word from police on the condition of the pickup truck driver.

Cause of crash still under investigation

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Egypt Road was closed between Raymond Hill Road in Gray and Poland Hill Road in Raymond.
