Toffees earn point at Craven Cottage

Everton manager Sean Dyche was full of praise for Anthony Gordon and Neal Maupay after they helped the Toffees earn a 1-1 draw at Fulham on Saturday. Gordon set up Maupay for the opening goal in the 22nd minute, and Maupay returned the favor by setting up Gordon for the equalizer in the 64th minute.

The result was a fair one on the balance of play, and Dyche was pleased with his team's performance.

"I thought we were excellent in the first half," Dyche said. "We controlled the game and created some good chances. We got the goal we deserved, and I thought we could have had a couple more."

Fulham improved in the second half and equalized through Carlos Vinicius in the 57th minute. However, Everton never gave up and eventually got their reward when Gordon scored his second goal of the game.

"I'm delighted with the players' character," Dyche said. "They showed great resilience to come back from behind and earn a point. It was a tough game against a good Fulham side, but we showed what we're capable of."

Gordon and Maupay impress

Gordon and Maupay were both excellent for Everton on Saturday. Gordon was a constant threat down the left flank, and he created several chances for his teammates.

Maupay also played well. He scored a well-taken goal, and he set up Gordon for the equalizer.

"I'm really pleased with Anthony and Neal," Dyche said. "They were both excellent today. They caused Fulham a lot of problems, and they deserved their goals."

Looking ahead

The draw at Fulham leaves Everton 19th in the Premier League table, two points from safety. However, Dyche is confident that his team can avoid relegation.

"We've got a tough run of games coming up, but I believe in this group of players," Dyche said. "We're going to fight for every point, and we're going to give everything we've got to stay in this league."
