Explosion in a residential building: there is a victim (VIDEO)

A gas explosion in a residential building on Industrialnaya Street in Ivanovo killed a young man. The deceased Ivan Chuprov was 19 years old.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the message about the incident was received by rescuers at 04:16 local time. Investigative teams and criminalistics worked on the scene. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence).

A criminal case was opened over the death of a young man during a gas explosion in the Ivanovo region. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee. It was found that on March 11, 2023, at about 4:15 a.m., a gas cylinder exploded in an apartment building on Industrialnaya Street in the city of Ivanovo.

As a result of the explosion, the facade and interior partitions of the apartment were destroyed, the glazing of the windows was broken, and a fire started. From the rubble, rescuers removed the body of a 19-year-old guy who was renting an apartment. According to preliminary data, the cause of the explosion was a leak from a gas cylinder.

The Investigative Committee is establishing all the circumstances of the incident. A forensic examination has been scheduled.
