Father of 3-year-old girl beaten to death in Adygeysk accused of beatings

The Investigative Committee has completed the investigation of a criminal case against the father of a 3-year-old girl who was beaten to death in Adygeysk

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Adygea has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 27-year-old resident of the city of Adygeysk, accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (willful infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in the death of the victim).

According to the investigation, on November 21, 2022, the accused, being intoxicated, inflicted numerous bodily injuries on his three-year-old daughter, causing her death.

The man did not admit his guilt in the crime he had committed. During the investigation, forensic examinations were carried out, including molecular genetic, forensic medical, psychological, psychiatric and other examinations. The criminal case with the indictment has been sent to the prosecutor for approval of the indictment and referral to the court for consideration on the merits.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Adygea warns about the inadmissibility of committing violent crimes against minors. For committing such crimes, the perpetrators face severe punishment provided for by the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
