Feyenoord and Ajax lead the race for the Eredivisie title
Feyenoord and Ajax look good for the title
Feyenoord are four points clear at the top of the Eredivisie after a 2-1 win over Vitesse on Sunday. The Rotterdam club have now won seven of their last eight league games and are starting to look like a real threat to Ajax's dominance of Dutch football.
Ajax are the defending champions and they remain in the title race, but they have not been in great form of late. They have won just two of their last five league matches and were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Utrecht on Saturday.
PSV Eindhoven not looking like challengers
PSV Eindhoven were once the main challengers to Ajax, but they have fallen away this season. They are now 10 points behind Feyenoord and look unlikely to challenge for the title.
Other teams in the race
Other teams who are in the race for the title include AZ Alkmaar and Vitesse Arnhem. AZ are third in the table, six points behind Feyenoord, while Vitesse are fourth, seven points behind the leaders.
Race for the title goes to the wire
The race for the Eredivisie title is likely to go down to the wire. Feyenoord are in a strong position, but Ajax will be determined to reclaim their title. PSV will also be hoping to make a late charge, but they need to start winning games soon.
Upcoming fixtures
The upcoming fixtures could have a big say in the title race. Feyenoord face a trip to PSV on March 5, while Ajax host Vitesse on March 12. These matches could go a long way to deciding who will be crowned champions of the Netherlands.
