Fredericktown Evacuations in Place for Active Wildfire
Evacuations Ordered as Wildfire Burns in Fredericktown
As of this writing, authorities have ordered the evacuation of residents in Fredericktown due to an active wildfire burning in the area. The fire is currently estimated to be 500 acres and growing, said local fire officials at a news briefing. The fire is spreading rapidly, and local resources are on scene and requesting state assistance.
The Fredericktown Fire Department posted on social media within the last hour asking that residents evacuate the area immediately. The Red Cross has set up an evacuation center at the Fredericktown Community Center for those affected by the fire.
