I-10 Closed Near Tallahassee Due to Sinkhole

Gadsden County, Fla. (March 24, 2023) —

Interstate 10 is closed in both directions near Tallahassee due to a sinkhole that opened up earlier today.
The sinkhole is located on the westbound side of the interstate, near mile marker 198. It is approximately 50 feet wide and 30 feet deep.
Gadsden County Sheriff's Office is on the scene and has closed both directions of the interstate. Traffic is being diverted off the interstate at Exit 194.
The Florida Department of Transportation is on the scene and is assessing the damage. It is not yet known when the interstate will be reopened.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
