## General Hospital Spoilers: Kelly Monaco Talks Breaking Script During Emotional Final Scenes ### Monaco Describes Filming Sean's Death as 'Horrible' and 'Ugly' Since landing the role of Sam McCall on General Hospital (GH) in 2003, Kelly Monaco has become a soap opera icon. The actress has won numerous Daytime Emmy Awards for her performance and has become a fan favorite. However, as Sam's love story with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) comes to an end, Monaco is opening up about the emotional toll filming the final scenes took on her. "It was horrible. It was ugly," Monaco told Soap Opera Digest. "I thought, 'I can't do this. I'm going to break down.'" The actress went on to explain that she had to break script during the filming of Sean's death because she was so overcome with emotion. "I couldn't stick to the script," Monaco said. "I just started crying and saying, 'I can't do this. I can't do this.'" Monaco's co-star, Steve Burton, was also emotional during the filming of Sean's death. "It was a very emotional day for all of us," Burton said. "We've been working together for so long, and we've become like a family. So, it was tough to say goodbye to Sean."
