Head of Kalmykia held a traveling meeting in the Oktyabrsky district on the current situation in agriculture

The Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, Batu Khasikov, continues to hold traveling meetings in the districts of the region.

Today, the Head of the republic visited the Oktyabrsky district, where he visited several agricultural enterprises engaged in crop production.

During the meeting, the Head of Kalmykia spoke with the heads of agricultural enterprises, as well as with the heads of relevant departments, about the current state and prospects for the development of agriculture in the Oktyabrsky district.

Batu Khasikov stressed that agriculture remains one of the key sectors of the Kalmyk economy, and the development of this industry is one of the main tasks of the regional authorities.

The Head of the Republic noted that the Oktyabrsky district has a significant agricultural potential, and the local agricultural producers show good results in the production of various agricultural crops.

Batu Khasikov also stressed the importance of continuing work to support agricultural producers, including the provision of subsidies and other forms of state support.

During the meeting, the heads of agricultural enterprises raised a number of issues related to the development of the industry, in particular, they asked to increase the amount of subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery, as well as to provide assistance in solving issues related to land use.

Batu Khasikov instructed the relevant departments to work out these issues and take comprehensive measures to support agricultural producers in the Oktyabrsky district.
