Early Life and Career

Kayvon Thibodeaux was born on December 15, 2000, in Los Angeles, California. He attended Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California, where he played football as a linebacker and defensive end. Thibodeaux was a five-star recruit and the No. 1 overall player in the 2019 recruiting class.

Thibodeaux committed to play college football at the University of Oregon, but he later changed his commitment to the University of North Carolina. He played for the Tar Heels for three seasons, starting 28 games. Thibodeaux recorded 121 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, and six forced fumbles during his time at UNC.

New York Giants
