LeBron James on Bronny's Cleveland debut: 'I don't know if I could have done what he did'
Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, made his Cleveland Cavaliers Summer League debut on Tuesday night.
The 20-year-old guard scored 13 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out six assists in a 96-82 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
After the game, LeBron James was asked about his son's performance and said he was impressed.
"I don't know if I could have done what he did at his age," James said. "He's a special player and I'm so proud of him."
Bronny James is expected to be a lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He is considered one of the best young prospects in the country and has already drawn comparisons to his father.
LeBron James is a four-time NBA MVP and has won four NBA championships. He is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
In the game, Bronny James was aggressive and attacked the basket and finished through contact. He also showed off his passing ability by finding open teammates for easy baskets.
The Cavaliers are hoping that Bronny James can be a key part of their future. The team is looking to build a young team around Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.
Bronny James is still only 20 years old and has a lot of potential. He will need to continue to work hard and develop his game, but he has the talent to be a special player in the NBA.
