NBA Injury Report: Kyle Kuzma Ruled Out for Wednesday
Lakers Forward to Miss Game Against Thunder Due to Ankle Sprain
Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a right ankle sprain, the team announced on Tuesday.
Kuzma suffered the injury in the Lakers' 116-105 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. He left the game in the third quarter and did not return.
The Lakers said that Kuzma is day-to-day and will be re-evaluated after the team's shootaround on Wednesday.
Kuzma's Absence a Blow to Lakers' Rotation
Kuzma is averaging 16.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game this season. He has been a key part of the Lakers' rotation, starting 22 of the team's 28 games.
With Kuzma out, the Lakers will likely turn to Brandon Ingram or Josh Hart to fill his spot in the starting lineup.
Lakers Hope to End Losing Streak Against Thunder
The Lakers will be looking to end a two-game losing streak when they face the Thunder on Wednesday.
The Thunder are 14-14 this season and have won two of their last three games.
The Lakers are 1-1 against the Thunder this season, losing 114-103 in Oklahoma City on Nov. 1 and winning 123-119 in Los Angeles on Dec. 12.
