Nimmller: NATO's policy will change completely if Donald Trump is elected

NATO’s policy will change dramatically if Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is elected, former U.S. ambassador to NATO Nicholas Burns said.

Burns said that Trump’s views on NATO are “very different” from those of the Obama administration and that he believes Trump would “reduce our commitment to NATO.”

Burns also said that Trump’s comments about NATO have “created a lot of uncertainty” among NATO members.

“I think it’s fair to say that there is a lot of concern among our NATO allies about what a Trump presidency would mean for the alliance,” Burns said.

Trump has said that he believes NATO is “obsolete” and that he would not necessarily come to the aid of NATO allies if they were attacked.

These comments have raised concerns among NATO members, who rely on the United States to provide security.

Burns said that Trump’s views on NATO are “a major concern” for NATO members.

“I think it’s important for us to remember that NATO is a vital alliance that has helped to keep the peace in Europe for over 60 years,” Burns said.

“I hope that Mr. Trump will reconsider his views on NATO if he is elected president.”
