Real Madrid 'plot' summer move for Pedro Porro amid Tottenham and Liverpool interest

Bernabeu giants identify Sporting full-back as a cheaper alternative to Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid are reportedly planning a summer move for Sporting Lisbon defender Pedro Porro as they seek a cheaper alternative to Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Spanish giants have been long-term admirers of Porro and see him as a potential long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal, who is now 31.

Porro, 23, has impressed for Sporting this season, making 20 appearances in all competitions and contributing four goals and six assists.

His performances have attracted the attention of a number of top clubs, including Tottenham and Liverpool, but Real Madrid are now believed to be favourites to sign him.

According to El Nacional, Real Madrid are preparing a bid of around €40 million for Porro, which would be significantly less than the fee they would have to pay for Alexander-Arnold.

The report claims that Real Madrid believe Porro has the potential to be one of the best right-backs in the world and see him as a long-term investment.

However, Real Madrid are not the only club interested in Porro. Tottenham and Liverpool are also keen on signing him, and it is likely that a bidding war will ensue in the summer.

Porro is under contract with Sporting until 2025, but it is believed that he is open to a move to a bigger club.

If Real Madrid are successful in signing Porro, it would be a major coup for the club. The Spaniard is one of the most promising young full-backs in the world and would be a valuable addition to Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
