Romeo Langford Signs Six-Week Deal with French Team
Former Celtics Forward Heads to Europe
Langford to Join Gravelines-Dunkerque
After spending the past four seasons in the NBA, Romeo Langford has signed a six-week contract with French team Gravelines-Dunkerque. The 23-year-old forward was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 14th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Langford has struggled to find his footing in the NBA, averaging just 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in 130 career appearances. He was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in February 2022, but was waived by the team in October.
Langford will now look to jump-start his career in France. Gravelines-Dunkerque is a mid-table team in the French LNB Pro A league. The team is currently in 10th place with a 9-11 record.
Langford is expected to make his debut for Gravelines-Dunkerque on Friday, January 13, when the team hosts Cholet Basket. He will be hoping to make a strong impression and earn a longer-term contract with the team.
