Authorities in Saratov, a city in southwestern Russia, have issued a warning to residents about a potential drone attack. The alert comes amid heightened tensions in the region following a series of strikes on military targets in Russia, including the Engels air base.

"We have received information about a possible attack by unmanned aerial vehicles," the Saratov city administration said in a statement. "Residents are advised to be vigilant and take precautions."

Drone Threat Escalates

The warning in Saratov highlights the growing threat posed by drones in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. In recent weeks, Ukraine has used drones to strike military targets deep inside Russian territory, including airfields and oil depots.
