Serie A giant wants up to 90m euros to sell Arsenal target
Napoli would reportedly demand a fee in the region of 80m to 90m euros to part with their star player
The Nigerian international is one of the most sought-after players in Europe and has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months
Napoli are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €80m to €90m to sell their star striker, Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian international has been in impressive form for the Serie A club this season, scoring 18 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions.
His performances have attracted the attention of several top clubs around Europe, including Arsenal, who are believed to be keen on signing him this summer.
However, Napoli are reluctant to let their star player leave and are demanding a huge fee for his services.
According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is holding out for a fee in the region of €80m to €90m for Osimhen.
This would make the Nigerian the most expensive African player in history, surpassing the €72m that Manchester City paid for Riyad Mahrez in 2018.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be willing to pay such a high fee for Osimhen, but it is clear that Napoli are determined to keep their star player.
The 23-year-old has scored 38 goals in 76 appearances for Napoli since joining the club from Lille in 2020.
He has also been capped 21 times by Nigeria, scoring 15 goals.
Osimhen is a powerful and pacy striker who is also good in the air.
He would be a valuable addition to any team and it is no wonder that he is attracting the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
