Former first-round pick Shea Langeliers will not be in the Oakland Athletics' lineup for Thursday's game against the Chicago Cubs.

Langeliers, who was the ninth overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, has been Oakland's starting catcher for the past two seasons.

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay said Langeliers is dealing with a "minor injury" and that the team is being cautious with the 25-year-old.
