Southampton manager Russell Martin feeling positive despite poor form
Saints have lost four of their last five games in all competitions
Southampton boss Russell Martin has said he is "still feeling positive" despite his side's poor run of form.
The Saints have lost four of their last five games in all competitions, including a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
However, Martin insists that he is not worried about his team's form and believes that they will soon start to turn things around.
Martin: "We're not playing badly, we're just not getting the results"
"I'm still feeling positive," Martin said.
"We're not playing badly, we're just not getting the results.
"We've had a tough run of fixtures, but we're now getting to the stage where we're going to be playing teams that are more around us in the league.
"I'm confident that we can start to pick up some points and move up the table."
Saints face Tottenham next in the Premier League
Southampton's next game is against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
Spurs are in good form, having won their last three games in all competitions.
However, Martin is confident that his team can get a result against Antonio Conte's side.
"Tottenham are a good team, but we're not afraid of them," Martin said.
"We've got a good squad and we're confident that we can get a result.
"We're going to go into the game with a positive attitude and we're going to try to win."
