“The XVIII Grand Festival of Cartoons” in Library No. 252

From August 24 to September 25, the “XVIII Grand Festival of Cartoons” will be held, which will be visited by more than 300 talented specialists.
During the month, 170 new cartoons from 43 countries of the world will be shown at the festival, viewers will see 119 debut Russian animations and 15 premieres.
The Grand Festival of Cartoons continues to grow, annually revealing new names and presenting new works of eminent masters of animation. The festival is supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Moscow City Cultural Affairs Department, the Moscow City Duma, and the Presidential Grants Fund.
The festival program includes feature-length and short films, popular science and educational films, films for children and adults. In addition to the screening of cartoons, the Moscow Animation Museum has prepared a special program for children and their parents.
The festival will be held in the cinema halls of the city of Moscow, as well as on the territory of the Gorky and Museon parks.
Schedule of the “XVIII Grand Festival of Cartoons”:
- August 24 – Opening ceremony
- August 25-31 – screenings of cartoons in cinemas and parks
- September 1-10 – screenings of cartoons in libraries
- September 11-25 – screenings of cartoons in cultural centers
- September 25 – closing ceremony
