Antonio Conte should drop summer signing after poor display v Leicester

Yves Bissouma endured a difficult Premier League debut for Tottenham as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Leicester on Saturday.

The Mali international was making his first start for the club since joining from Brighton in a £25m deal this summer, but he failed to impress.

Bissouma was caught in possession on several occasions and gave the ball away cheaply, which led to Leicester creating several chances.

The 25-year-old also struggled to get into the game and failed to make an impact on the match.

With Tottenham facing a tough match against Manchester City next weekend, Conte should consider dropping Bissouma from the starting lineup.

The Italian coach has plenty of other options in midfield, including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentancur and Oliver Skipp.

Hojbjerg and Bentancur have been in good form this season, and they would be a more reliable option in the centre of midfield against a strong Manchester City team.

Skipp is also a good option, and he could be given a chance to impress against the Premier League champions.

Conte needs to make a decision on his midfield for the Manchester City game, and he should consider dropping Bissouma from the starting lineup.

The Mali international has not shown enough in his first two appearances for the club to warrant a place in the team against one of the best teams in the world.
