Wrexham Set to Sign Former Man United Star Matty James Amid Injuries
Wrexham FC is reportedly set to clinch a deal for former Manchester United star Matty James.
The midfielder, 32, is understood to be undergoing a medical with the National League side.
James' arrival would come as a major boost for Wrexham, who have been hit by a string of injuries in recent weeks.
The club is currently without first-team midfielders Ben Tozer, Jordan Ponticelli, and Elliot Lee.
James has been a free agent since leaving Coventry City at the end of last season.
The 32-year-old spent 10 years at Manchester United, making over 50 appearances for the club.
He has also played for Leicester City, Barnsley, and Coventry City.
If the deal is completed, James would be the latest in a string of high-profile signings for Wrexham.
The club, which is owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has already signed Paul Mullin, Ollie Palmer, and Aaron Hayden this summer.
Wrexham are currently 12th in the National League, but they have aspirations of promotion to League Two.
The signing of James would be a major step towards achieving that goal.
