Atalanta were the better team at the Gewiss Stadium and created several chances to win the game, but they could not find a way past the Monza defense.

Luis Muriel had the best chance for Atalanta in the first half, but his shot was saved by Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.

Atalanta continued to press in the second half, but Monza held firm and earned a valuable point.

Monza Move Out Of Bottom Three

The point lifted Monza out of the bottom three and up to 16th place in the Serie A table.

It was a good result for Monza, who are now unbeaten in their last three games.

Atalanta, meanwhile, remain in sixth place, but they are now eight points behind league leaders Napoli.
