Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Congratulates Czech Counterpart Petr Pavel on Independence Day
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has extended congratulations to President Petr Pavel on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Czech Republic.
In his message, Tokayev expressed confidence that the Kazakh-Czech relations would continue to develop and strengthen in the future.
“I am convinced that the traditional friendship and mutual understanding between our countries will continue to serve as a solid foundation for the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields,” Tokayev said.
Independence Day is a national holiday in the Czech Republic, commemorating the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak state on October 28, 1918.
Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic established diplomatic relations in 1993. The two countries have since enjoyed close cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, energy, and culture.
In recent years, the two countries have also strengthened their cooperation in the field of security and defense.
In 2021, the two countries signed an agreement on military cooperation, which provides for the exchange of information, joint exercises, and training.
The two countries are also members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations.
