TV host Lena Babenko leaves ‘Wait for Me’ show
Popular Russian TV host Lena Babenko has left the ‘Wait for Me’ show after 13 years.
According to NTV channel, Babenko’s departure is due to the expiration of her contract. The TV presenter confirmed this information to TASS.
Babenko has hosted the ‘Wait for Me’ show since 2009. During this time, the program has helped reunite more than 215,000 people.
Babenko is a well-known and respected TV personality in Russia. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the TEFI award for Best TV Host in 2018.
The ‘Wait for Me’ show is a Russian version of the international ‘Searching for…’ format. The show helps people find long-lost relatives and friends.
Babenko’s departure from the show is a big loss for the program and for Russian television.
It is unclear who will replace Babenko as host of the ‘Wait for Me’ show.
NTV channel has not yet announced a new host for the ‘Wait for Me’ show.
